Celebrities and Right Wing Hypocrisy
Apr. 30th, 2019 03:01 am"Who cares what celebrities have to say about politics? Why can't they just shut up and go back to acting/singing/writing/playing sports/whatever?" hypocritically whinge all the fucking morons who voted in as President of the United States of America a reality show TV "star" and Razzie "worst supporting actor" award winner for a softcore porn movie.
It is, in my opinion, utterly asinine to talk shit about (and to) celebrities for voicing opinions about politics but in the very same breath militantly defend goddamned Donald Jackass Trump, of all people. It stinks of Orwellian doublethink. I.e. they believe that celebrities shouldn't voice their opinions about politics, but at the same time, they idiotically also believe that Donald Trump, a celebrity, is a very good POTUS (he isn't) and that Trump spewing his brain-dead celebrity opinions about politics all during the Obama presidency and afterward was just great. Why shouldn't Trump have just shut up and stuck with The Apprentice, instead of running his anus-for-a-mouth all the time? Shouldn't their "celebrities should shut up about politics" stance have applied to Trump as well? Indeed, you absolutely never hear them complaining a bit whenever it's some numbfuck right wing celebrity who is saying something with which they agree, oddly enough. No, it's only the celebrities who are criticizing Trump that they think should "shut up and stick to <whatever>." Gee, I wonder why that is.
Every time I see people say that kind of bullshit, it kind of makes me want to reply to them along the lines of "Well, why don't all of you textbook examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect in action shut your own dumbshit mouths and just go back to flipping burgers or cleaning toilets or being unemployed or whatever it is that you do?" I mean, after all, it's not like celebrities have any less right to voice their opinions about whatever than these Trumpanzee morons do. If one's job is grounds for denying someone that right, as these imbeciles seem to want to be the case, then I'd much rather hear the opinions of, say, a bestselling author than those of some schlub working at McDonald's or Walmart or whatever. Then again, I'm not a fucking asshole like they are, erroneously believing that their right to express their opinion ends when it doesn't agree with mine (and, with that said, my right to call them dumbfucks for their shitty opinions is just as valid as theirs is to voice their dumbfuck shitty opinions in the first place). Also, to say any of that to them would require actually interacting with them, which is not a thing I'm willing to do, the vast majority of the time. I'd typically rather drink bleach while jabbing icepicks into my ears rather than interact in any way with a Trumpanzee.
