"An Angry Video Game Nerd vs Irate Gamer video was announced. What do we think?"
First I'm hearing about this. Cinemassacre sure hasn't promoted it, at least as far as I've seen. I find myself feeling rather indifferent about it. I don't get why James Rolfe would do this... but whatever, if he wants to do it, it's fine, I guess. Not that it matters what I think about it, either way. *shrug*
I watched
Irate Gamer[1] for a little while, back at the start, but the dude was seriously just a shameless rip-off of the Angry Nintendo Nerd (as he was called back then), even using the Nerd's own catchphrases at the time, and Chris Bores seemed like sort of a disingenuous whiner about behind the scenes crap, too, so I fairly quickly just stopped watching his stuff. I mean, yeah, sure, I'll
probably watch this crossover between AVGN and IG, maybe, but it's not likely to get me to start regularly watching Bores's stuff again. (EDIT) Actually, no, I probably
won't watch it. After posting this, I got to surfing the 'net about Irate Gamer/Chris Bores, and it reminded me again of why I quit watching his shit to begin with. (/EDIT)
I'll say this much (more), though, if Mr. Rolfe is going to be doing a crossover with someone, it is better, I suppose, that he does this thing with the Irate Gamer, rather than doing
anything else with
Doug Walker, so there's that, if nothing else. I will
not be watching any more Channel Awesome videos, even if James Rolfe is involved in them, or any Cinemassacre videos that involve Doug (or Rob) Walker. (EDIT) Chris Bores is just as bad as the Walker brothers, in his own way. So, no, I retract my statement that James Rolfe working with Bores is an improvement over the hypothetical situation of Rolfe working with the Walkers again. (/EDIT)
I'd prefer to see
some more stuff between James and Pat. That would be pretty cool.
[1] - Had to use the TVTropes page for him, since he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page, unlike
James Rolfe.
