Some context here: I was going through my webcomics bookmarks, and I only got as far as Dumbing of Age (which is now the second one down in my list, after having finally moved Megatokyo to the "Hardly Updates Ever" list a while back). In that particular page of DoA, as you can see via clicking the link there, there is discussion of Transformers MPreg. (I'll leave it to the discretion of the reader to Google that or not.) And then, I made the mistake or reading the comments under the post, because I got as far (which wasn't far at all) as where someone posted a Twitter link to the above embedded song. And then I decided to find it on Youtube and post it here. There's some real "Top Ten Hottest Female Sonic Character's" energy there.

"Uncanny Stardew Valley AI mod replaces its lovely villagers with '33 provided brains'"

Not every game needs to have their NPC scripts ripped out and replaced with LLM/AI things. While I'm sure there are games out there that would greatly benefit from it, I don't think that Stardew Valley is one of them.

That said, it doesn't harm me in any way if anyone else wants to use that mod. I don't feel nearly as strongly about it as the writer of that article seems to, nor does it creep me out or whatever. If anything, it's already starting to just feel banal to read about mods that replace a game's characters with LLM/AI things.

Honestly, I'm getting to the point of being ready for this LLM/AI "fad" to run its course and be done, already. I don't think it's actually a fad, as I think this shit is probably here to stay, but it certainly has some fad-like characteristics. I'm especially tired of the whole "shoehorning LLM/AI into things where LLM/AI really has no business being shoehorned" thing.
