"Metroid Prime trilogy coming to Wii on single disc"

Honestly though, I saw this and my first thought was "Why?"

But then I saw this part: "...but will have an updated control scheme for the first two games to make them compatible with the Wii's motion-sensing technology. Apparently, these earlier entries into the trilogy will feature some other unspecified enhancements..."

Hmm... well, that does make it a bit more interesting since having the control scheme from the third game available for the first two would definitely breathe new life into them, but I still don't know if I'll be getting this or not, since I already own the games separately. Something I'll be keeping an eye on, at any rate.

It's an interesting way to kill the used game market for the originals.

I only own the first Metroid Prime, but never finished it, so I don't think I'll be picking this up. The whole "you have everything, now you have nothing" inventory loss mechanic pisses me off too much.

I was considering getting this, until I thought about it and realized that I played through and beat both prime and corruption with 100% and the boss I was stuck on in Echoes was the second morphball boss, so it's not like new controls would even do that much for me there.
