As I mentioned on IRC, #8 probably got to me the most, although I can probably see then trying to do that more and more often in the future in more insidious ways.
One example of it happening was also on the list with the PSP Go. It being more expensive simply because the retailers getting a larger cut. Consider it this way, how would you have felt if when they launched the PS2 Slim they charged 400 odd dollars or whatever the PS2 cost at launch? All so the retailers could get an extra piece.
When it comes to download-only content, I can see Gamestop staying in business by trying to get further special deals in different ways. (As it's not like you'd be able to pre-order a download-only game efficiently at a physical store) I would see them starting to do things like "Buy a 2000 point cart between X and Y and receive a special upgrade for game Z! This offer only available at store franchise B."
Would be the exact same as preordering for a physical copy - but I guess more expensive. ;) You could probably end up saying goodbye to all the smaller or independant shops who wouldn't be able big enough to arrange these kinds of "exclusive" deals.
IF they did this however I could probably see at least one class action suit attempted against them over anti-competitive behaviour.
