Ok, last week I missed Calculus on Tuesday because I was feeling a bit sick and decided to skip class. Well, I'm feeling a little sick today as well, but my reasoning for it is much different.
I'm feeling sick today because I just ran a block or so trying to catch an earlier-than-usual bus, only to have the it pull out just as I'm about to get there.
I have never missed the bus prior to today. Today however, I left the house a bit later than usual. "Well, that's okay," I said to myself, "I still have about ten minutes to get to the park and ride." I left here at 8:34. The bus wasn't supposed to be at the park and ride until 8:43. Well, I was walking down the street when I saw a bus coming in the distance from the opposite direction. "That can't be my bus," I thought, looked at my watch and saw that it was only 8:39. But sure enough it was my bus, so I started running in an attempt to get there. Well, the bus passed me and pulled into the park and ride. I'm still running, and when I am within about 20 feet or so of the bus, the bus driver (who, I was close enough to notice, was not the guy who normally drives the route) turned his head, looked directly at me, saw me running toward the bus, AND LEFT ANYWAY. It was about 8:41 when I turned and started to trudge back home.
So, anyway, here I sit back at home, obviously NOT just getting off the bus and heading to class as I should be, and feeling like crap because I just pointlessly ran a block for ultimately no reason whatsoever.
