I became an arsonist:

Yeah, I don't even think I've talked about it yet, outside of here, but I bought Minecraft the other day.

This isn't my main save, but one that I just started up on Peaceful to play in offline mode (which doesn't seem much different than the online version that I could tell, but that may just be because I already have an account/login made), while my Internet was down.

And... that's what I did in what was originally meant to just be a throwaway save. I went around and burned every tree in sight.

Yeah, for some reason, logs tend to burn forever. Here's another vantage point:

Those bigger trees really light up the place when they go up:

As for resources, I haven't had much problem finding enough (at least, enough to keep making lighters, anyway). Just from random running around and entering caves, I stumble upon things like this:

(That's coal ore and iron ore right next to each other, for those who are unfamiliar with Minecraft. Flint, which along with iron is used to make the lighters, was even more plentiful than that, even with the low percentage chance to drop.)

It is definitely a different experience playing on Peaceful, where you don't have to worry about enemies or dying, than it is on Normal, to which my main save is usually set. I've already died at least twice in that game, thanks to Creepers just randomly spawning nearby and blowing me up all of a sudden. Usually during the day, too, when I least expect it.

Penny Arcade tells it like it is, as I would also suggest that the game is quite addicting as well. I wouldn't say that it's like crack, though, because I can't say I know what crack is like.
