Having just rewatched this movie the other day, I have to agree. It wasn't totally horrible, but it wasn't quite what I remembered of it back in the day.
Just from the standpoint of a gamer alone, it was pretty bad. It was funny how the so-called "wizards", Lucas (pictured above) and little Jimmy, pretty much sucked at the games they were shown playing (or, rather, whoever it was that played the recorded the footage that was shown while the actors pretended to fiddle with the controllers). My favorite was the bit where Jimmy was playing Ninja Gaiden during the tournament. When the time ran out and he put the controller down, the game on screen kept going as though someone were still playing it. The movie was full of little consistencies like that with regard to the games. I won't even go into the non-game related scenes. >_>
Also, the Power Glove was a big steaming pile, which should also give some indication of the feelings I and many others have for the Digipen network, for those who aren't already familiar with it.
