I just found out via the Internet that Snooki was in a match at Wrestlemania tonight. Yes, Snooki from Jersey Shore. Man am I glad I quit watching wrestling in 2005.
For what it's worth, I do still watch stuff like Botchamania and Wrestle! Wrestle! (though the latter hasn't really updated in over a month now, aside from the text-only thing about TNA Victory Road* [EDIT] and has since gone down entirely, though Spoony has done a few more recent wrestling vlogs [/EDIT]).
* - Note that even though that video I linked to there (whichwill probably be was indeed pulled due to copyright claims soon enough [and has been replaced, with corresponding links updated, because Youtube users sneer at that sort of bullshit, in general]) is over 1310 minutes long, the actual match only lasted about one and a half minutes, of which only a few seconds of it was actual wrestling, if you want to even call it that. The gist: This was supposed to be a TNA world championship title match between Jeff Hardy and Sting. Hardy came to the ring completely baked. The ref made the X sign, which indicates that the match shouldn't continue. Eric Bischoff came down to the ring ostensibly to make it a no DQ match, but really just to tell Sting and Jeff off-mic that the match needed to end as soon as possible, due to Hardy's condition (why they let him come down to the ring at all is beyond me). From what I understand, Bischoff pretty much told Sting to just completely squash Jeff, which is exactly what Sting did. As Sting left the ring, someone in the crowd yelled that the match was "bullshit" to which Sting was shown on camera replying "I agree." It was, I have to say, the single worst PPV main event championship match that I have ever seen.
