Skyrim moment: I was in Riften, and had just left my house. There was a random thief running around outside, and people were yelling and screaming and arrows were being fired at him from everywhere. The thief ran into the Scorched Hammer, the nearby blacksmith shop, to try to get away, so I followed him in, intending to take him out myself. As I entered the building, but before I could even draw my sword and attack, around 11 or 12 guards appeared out of nowhere in this tiny room and just instantly dogpiled on the thief, who at this point was cowering in the corner and screaming for mercy. The owner of the shop stood up from where he was eating breakfast, ran over to the thief's corpse and shouted "By the gods, what happened here?!" Then he started repeatedly telling me I needed to leave, and all the guards were now staring at me, so I quickly looted the thief's body, then turned around and left.
Here's a screenshot I took after the fact of all the guards returning to their posts after what I guess can be considered a job well done(?)
(EDIT) I have since deleted the Youtube account that hosted that video, so it's gone now. (/EDIT)
Also, here's a video of the incident that I recorded with Fraps when I reloaded and let it all play out again. It went a tiny bit differently this time, as one of the beggars got in on the act as well and helped out the guards a bit. Also, they didn't try to kick me out of the shop afterward like they did the first time. (And I recorded a bit of an unrelated sob story there at the end as well, just for the heck of it.)
