Though I normally don't care about HD remakes of old games, I would probably buy a HD remake of the first two Shenmue games just to have versions of the games that are on the same console, such that the moves list and all of the various inventory items and other such things that were supposed to carry over from the first game to the second game will actually properly be able to do so this time.

And if this helps finally lead to Shenmue III, all the better.

I'll wait to see how it ends up before I decide if I want it or not. I'd like to have them on the same console for the same reason as you, and I think Sega is actually better than most about not selling out to DLC (But then I'm only going on the couple of games I have of them which seem to be void of any DLC BS)

But if I see them pull some stunt like "Carry Over DLC - $5.00", it would burn in a fire long before I ever consider touching it.
