Very interesting article. Yeah, I've always hated being a supreme godlike character in a game, only to be taken out be a couple of lowly mooks in a cutscene.

Also, "ludonarrative dissonance." I just like the sound of that phrase. "Ludonarrative dissonance. Ludonarrative dissonance."

Also also, I think Conan O'Brien's scoring scheme is one of the best scoring schemes I've ever seen in video game journalism.

That was a very interesting article. And they're right, I don't even think about how logic-missing some aspects of games can be. otoh, games that adhere too closely to real-world logic or have AIs with actual intelligence often end up being called "too hard." It's a trade-off I guess.
