Well, that's a start, I guess. I wonder if they'll stop doing all of the other stupid shit they've been doing for the past few decades that customers have also been complaining about. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Also, the cynic in me is waiting to see what even more heinous thing they'll come up with to replace this Online Pass stuff.

And, more importantly, let's see if the other companies (e.g. Activision, Ubisoft) using this same system decide to jump on this "me too" bandwagon, similar to the one they jumped on when they started using it in the first place. Again, though, I'm not going to be holding my breath over that, but I can still hope.
If they're going to keep anything at all, though, I'd honestly rather that they all get rid of the always online bullshit more so than the Online Pass stuff, though overall I'd prefer that they get rid of both.
