I saw that "Ultimate Warrior" was the top trending thing on Twitter today and was wondering why, given that the biggest news in wrestling prior to this was the ending of Undertaker's 20-plus year undefeated-at-Wrestlemania streak. It didn't take long to find out why, obviously.
All I can say is... wow. Despite how crazy the guy might have been (especially in his later, post-wrestling years IRL), he was still probably my favorite wrestler (pre-Undertaker, at least). It was either him or Macho Man Randy Savage or Rowdy Roddy Piper (probably Piper, honestly). I liked Hogan well enough back in the old days too, sure, but those other guys I liked just a little better.
