Lately, it seems like I've mostly been just ranting about games and the video game industry in general and otherwise just being all negative. I have plenty of tags along those lines already.

What I noticed that I didn't have was a tag that focused more on the positive side of things. And so, off and on over the past couple days or so, I've gone back through my old posts and put this brand new "game recommendations" tag on relevant posts. The criteria for getting that tag added to a post were rather loose. Essentially, if it was a post about a game (from big-shot AAA games down to the most obscure flash stuff) and I was speaking (mostly) positively about the game (even if I ended up ranting about something else in the process), then it got the tag, whether it was a one-line "try this, it's cool" post or a multi-paragraph quasi-review or something. Some of them might be about old GOG/Steam sales that are no longer relevant, but even so, if it was a game that I felt like plugging for being on sale, then it was probably a game that I like well enough regardless, because I don't usually make posts about games being on sale like that unless I actually like the game to start with. With that said, though, I tried to avoid putting the tag on similar posts in which I was potentially talking up a game that hadn't (or hasn't) been released yet, especially if I ultimately ended up not actually playing the game at all after it was released (e.g. The Secret World or most of the posts about Kickstarter stuff that I may have backed or whatever). And I'm sure I probably missed at least a few that should have had the tag but I just didn't notice or whatever.

In any event, to be honest, there weren't nearly as many of that sort of post as there have been ranty posts about whatever asinine, terrible things the video game industry have been doing. :/ But, now that I do have the tag, I might just be inspired to actually make use of it more in the future.
