It's really super annoying.

Is it possible to just mark their stuff as spam?

I just don't use the free email given to me by my provider, although it's more to avoid risking a dependency on them - you know having to change anywhere that's signed up with the email if I were to ditch them in favor of a competitor. So for all I know I might be bombarded with promotions by my ISP As well - to an inbox that hasn't been opened since 2006. I can totally see them doing that...

I don't use my TWC email either. TWC sends this shit to my Gmail.

And I have Gmail set up server side to not block spam at all, because before I did that, they had been erroneously marking things as spam that were not spam, meaning that it never even reached Thunderbird at all and I never saw it, until I just happened to log in to the web based client one day and saw that it was happening. I don't know how much legitimate email I lost thanks to Google incorrectly marking it as spam before I bypassed the spam filters. For what it's worth, I'd rather get unnecessary spam than to lose legitimate emails.

But that's a separate issue entirely to TWC ignoring my "don't send me pointless bullshit" settings on my TWC account (EDIT) for which I have my Gmail address as my main contact email (/EDIT).
