So, I got a 45 today on my CS260 networking assignment. It annoyed and slightly depressed me that it'd be that low, but I had kind of expected it, what with it being a week late (25% grade hit) and then mysteriously not working properly during the demonstration and all.
Well, as it turns out, this is only half of the grade and that it was 45 out of 50, instead of 45 out of 100. The other half of the grade is to be determined based on code review. I do now remember them saying this in class last week, but it slipped my mind at the time, and when the grader wrote 45 in his notebook, I was all like "Aw man, that blows, but oh well." I'm glad now that I didn't actually say that out loud like I almost did. >_>
Granted, there's still the 25% late hit to be factored in, but even so, assuming that the code review goes well, it should still be better than the 45 (out of 100) that I originally thought I was stuck with.
