Bought Oblivion DLC... but it doesn't fucking work

So... I caved in and bought the Orrery and Wizard's Tower mods for Oblivion for a whopping $3.78... but the fuckers don't work. When I get to the Activation step and click Next, both installers just hang. I've sent an email to Bethesda's tech support about it and they'll hopefully be able to clear up the problem (they'd better, anyway), but this is damn annoying.

Dude, I was going to post about this but I've just been busy.

Your solution is... install them as Administrator. Not AN Administrator, as "Administrator." Run-As worked for me. (Also when I right-clicked on my installer I saw I had a Blocked tag on it, which I removed before doing the Run-As.)

Hmm, I'll have to try that when I get home. I'll probably have to go into safe mode and set a password on the Administrator account first, though, but that shouldn't be too big a deal (and, honestly, I probably should have done it long ago.)

No admin password? SHAME!

Also, control+alt+delete twice quickly at the windows welcome screen to access Admin login out of safe mode.

Only when I booted into Safe Mode with Networking as Administrator was I finally able to get it working. For some reason, even though I had just set the Administrator password, when I tried logging in non-Safe Mode with it using the double CTRL+ALT+DEL thing, or tried to use "Run As" from my own account with Administrator/password, I got a "User account restriction" error and no dice. Yet every time I logged into Safe Mode as Administrator with the same password, it had no complaints.

Anyway, when I booted Oblivion and checked the Data Files in the front end, "DLCFrostcrag.esp" and "DLCOrrery.esp" show up there now, so I'm just going to assume it's properly installed.

Oh well, it doesn't really matter one way or the other since I'm planning to start on The Longest Journey today anyway.
