Beyond Good and Evil 2

Hmm, well this is certainly interesting... I guess because I was in NC at the time and without access to the Internet, I completely missed the announcement that there's finally going to be a Beyond Good and Evil 2. I'm kind of surprised that I hadn't heard or seen anything about this until now, over a month later, and even then only a passing mention out of the blue in the blog for yesterday's Dueling Analogs...

Honestly, this is right up there with Diablo III for me. If you've never played the first BG&E, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

And yet, even there in the Kotaku announcement article for BG&E2, within the first 10 comments there's someone already complaining that the new art style shown in that video is somehow wrong for BG&E. Maybe I'm just too sensitive to this because I've seen so much of it lately, but.... seriously... cynical, jaded, elitist asshats. Yeah, yeah, I know, opinions are never wrong and all that, but it is my opinion that this type of person is a cynical, jaded, elitist asshat. Whether I'm wrong in that opinion or not is entirely irrelevant to me.

Glad to hear they are sequeling it, that game rocked! Not happy that they are making it easier for "casual gamers". Wonder what systems it will be on.

I didn't think the first one was all that difficult to begin with, at least not any more so than a typical 3D Legend of Zelda game.

I had trouble with the racing portion and probably would have had problems with the flight sim portion...but I was working on it with friends and I liked it just fine as it was.
