I'm to the point now where I find those who say "both sides are bad" to be almost as uselessly terrible as those who say "Trump is/the Republicans are good." In either case, they're still ignoring/excusing the abhorrent behavior of Trump and his administration officials and those in Congress who prop them all up, which is unacceptable to me. Yes, neither side is spotlessly perfect, this is true. It's *never* going to be the case that one side or the other (or any given candidate from either side) will be completely without flaw whatsoever. To hold out hope for such a thing is pie in the sky, a pipe dream. However, one side (Democrats) *is* absolutely, demonstrably *better* than the other side (Republicans), by many orders of magnitude, and to just dismiss the whole thing as "politics as usual so who cares" is either disingenuous or completely ignorant.

(And if the point trying to be made is that there shouldn't just be "two sides," well, I actually agree with that, in theory. That said, I hate to break it to you, but the reality of the situation is that, at least for now, there *is* *indeed* only two sides, for all practical purposes. Sure, libertarians exist and the Green party exists and whatnot, but for all intents and purposes, the only truly viable parties in United States right now are either the Democrats or the Republicans, sad as that is to say. Those who pretend otherwise and vote as such are a non-insignificant part of the reason why Trump is the POTUS now, only slightly better than those who don't vote at all "because both sides are bad.")
