"Bernie Bros" and "Bernie or Bust" types are probably the single biggest reason why I feel like I just can't fully get behind Bernie Sanders. Doesn't matter how amazing the guy himself may well be, the fact that he inspires such assholish behavior in his supporters is a strike against him, in my book. That's not even remotely fair to Bernie Sanders himself, I freely admit that, but I'm sorry, that's just how I feel. (It's also unfair to the many Bernie supporters who actually aren't raging shit-smears, but again...)
It's sort of like how a not insignificant chunk of the reason I hate Donald Trump so much is that, in addition to the fact that the man himself is such a vile cad, pretty much all of his supporters are verifiable asshats as well.
(And, of course, there will always be the fact that the assholes in the first paragraph are part of the reason why the assholes in the second paragraph won in 2016. Russians had their fingers in that particular pie, too, though.)
