I still like Last Week Tonight and John Oliver and all, don't get me wrong, but I think my main issue with him is that he just relies way too much on absurdist/non sequitur humor. For instance, in this video, he was talking about a reporter asking people if they trust that their votes count, and then, out of nowhere, he's suddenly on a tangent about Tooth Fairy blowjobs. I mean... what. Yes, he's always been like that, more or less, but I'm just finding it to be increasingly grating lately.
