Yes. This. Exactly this. This mirrors what I've already said myself, though Mr. Scalzi focuses on it more and rants with much more effectiveness about it than I did.
However, with all of that said, though, as incredibly shitty as it is that cis, heterosexual, old, rich, white, male[1] people voted for Trump, the thing that is even more mind-boggling to me is that there were far too many[2] non-cis, non-heterosexual, non-old, non-rich, non-white, and/or non-male people who also voted for Trump. I mean, I can get (kind of, if I squint really hard and tilt my head at an almost 90° angle) why cis, heterosexual, old, rich, white, male people would vote for Trump, but the fact that anybody in any of those latter categories also voted for the man who actively hates them (or, most charitably, at very best, the man who demonstrably doesn't give a single skulking shit about them) is just utterly bewildering to me.
[1] - Full disclosure: I fit all of those categories myself, except for "rich" and "old" (and given that I'll be 42 years old just six days after the day that Biden, thankfully, will be sworn in, I guess I'm starting to brush up against "old" as well ¬_¬).
