Seeing quite a bit of "How can people still support Trump, despite Jan 6?" showing up. Here's the thing: the type of people who still support Trump now, no matter what, are the type of people who were *at the Capitol* on January 6, 2021. Or else who wish they could've been there.

I.e. they still support Trump, in large part, *because* of Jan. 6, not *despite* it. If the insurrection had succeeded, and Donald Trump was POTUS right now, they'd have been ecstatic. The only real reason Trumpanzees have to be upset about the failed coup is *because it failed.*
