Posting a link to this more for the associated blog than for the comic itself. The only thing I disagree with is his tenuous "I am not saying there is absolutely no use ever for NFTs ever" because, no, I am saying there is absolutely no use ever for NFTs ever.

(I think the title is supposed to be "NFTs Through History" like what is said in the comic itself, but that's what it is right now. If it gets changed/fixed later, I'll do so here, too.)

This is them essentially saying both that there may be a use but that there's never going to be a use.

I mean, if the problem NFTs are suppose to 'fix' is already solved... there literally is no need for NFTs.

As far as I've been able to tell, the only bona fide legitimate use for NFTs (depending on one's definition of "legitimate") is to scam money out of people who have more money than sense. Anything beyond that is just window dressing. That's how I approach NFTs (or, rather, don't approach them). If anyone were to try to convince me that, hey, no really, NFTs are actually good for something non-scammy, I'm just going to assume that person is in the middle of an attempt to scam me.
