*interest raised*
"Aperture Desk Job is a free 'short' game designed for the Steam Deck that teaches you how to use the new device. Releasing March 1, it looks like even if you don't have a Steam Deck you'll still be able to try the game out on your desktop if you have a controller. (Mouse and keyboard is not supported.)"
*any and all interest utterly annihilated forever*

Date: 2022-02-27 03:16 am (UTC)From:In other news, it's taking me forever to localize my ps4 games to the new 5tb drive.
The state of console gaming is such that you should expect to download many gigabytes of updates for just about any game - and the longer it's been since release, particularly a western released game (or just Big Studio released game perhaps) the larger the file will be.
One of the games I copied over to the drive from disc I had installed in the past (but removed due to the 500gig space on the internal drive being predictably, laughably inadequate) now has multiple gigabytes for a patch file that it never use to have.
And there was at least one game that had an update file over twice the size of the game on disc. (9.5 on disc, 17+ gigs downloaded as a patch)
Yeah, slow going.
