Made some more progress since last time I posted about it.

A big downside, first. Somehow, I lost my fucking cell phone. No idea what happened. I went to use it, and it wasn't in my inventory. I shouldn't have been able to drop/sell/stash it in a chest accidentally, because I had it marked as favorite, which is supposed to prevent that. And yet, somehow, it has vanished. I spent like an hour or so meticulously combing through the multitude of chests I have in my town and outposts, on the off chance that maybe I did stash it somewhere without thinking about it, but I didn't find it. My guess, and this is only a guess, is that there might be some kind of bug involving the town pylons, as setting up and using a few of those was the last thing I did before noticing the cell phone was gone. In any case, I now have to go through the annoying process of gathering all the individual components needed to craft one again. The most annoying of those is going to be the metal detector (especially now that I'm in Hardmode, which makes the Nymph spawn even more rarely), whatever shit the Traveling Merchant sells (since he doesn't show up every day and even when he does he's not at all guaranteed to have any of what I need), and, lastly and potentially most annoying of all, the Angler quest shit that I need for a Fish Finder (because the Angler is an asshole and only gives one quest per in-game day). Once I do all that and make a new cell phone, I'll probably find the original one in a chest I didn't properly check or some shit. *eye roll*

On the bright side, Plantera is mostly a non-issue now and is mostly just another source of resources if I need it. I've still got some things I want to get from the post-Plantera dungeon, but my main goal now is to scour the Jungle Temple (and probably temples in other worlds, too) for traps that I can use at my main town, because I just had a Solar Eclipse event. The puny darts and geysers I had set up from before just didn't cut it. If I hadn't lucked out and got a Deadly Sphere Staff early into the event, it would have been much more difficult. Even so, thanks to a combination of Mothrons and Reapers just ignoring walls and shit, I myself was killed once, along with the Guide, Painter, Stylist, and Clothier. The Princess came pretty close to dying, too. One good thing to come of it, though, is that I got a couple Broken Hero Swords, so now I can make a Terra Blade, once I make/find the prerequisites for it.

Oh, and I paused on my main world for a bit to go into a Crimson world and pick up some Vampire Knives. Slightly annoying in that before I could do that, I had to first kill the Wall of Flesh, then all three mechanical bosses, then Plantera, then kill enemies in the Crimson until they dropped a Crimson key, and then, lastly survive long enough in the post-Plantera dungeon to find the Crimson chest. The Vampire Knives were worth all that, though, and it didn't take too awfully long. I'd already gotten a Rainbow Gun and Piranha Gun from my original world's chests previously, which was also pretty nice. There's other stuff to find, too, some of which isn't in the Biome chests. My main target, which I haven't found yet in this playthrough, isn't in one of those.

Basically, I'm gearing up for Golem and then Duke Fishron, and then the stuff that comes after. Oh, and phase three of the Old One's Army, which also unlocks after beating Golem. I'm kind of close to the end, but not really? Also, this is all just on a normal difficulty world, mind you. There's still Expert and Master.
