I mean, this has been known for decades by pretty much everyone, of course, but I just got my own personal reminder of it today. Nothing that utterly destroyed my bank account or anything, thankfully, but still not remotely pleasant.
Welp, back to never voluntarily visiting a doctor and back to hoping no (additional) situations ever come up in the future that force me to have to go to a doctor/hospital, I guess. *shrug + weary goddamned sigh*
