Heard parts of this story on NPR in the car yesterday. And since then, I've gone back and listened to it all.
Basically, what I took away from the story is that the son, Jackson, is a hero for doing what he did, the father, Guy, is a fucking Trumpanzee shitstain who absolutely deserves to rot in prison, and the mother, Nicole, and sister(s) are goddamn idiots with all their "oh Guy wouldn't actually hurt anybody" and "oh it was just Guy being Guy" and "oh Jackson was just overreacting" and "oh Jackson is just too sensitive" and "oh Guy would never shoot me even though he held a gun to my head twice and even discharged a gun next to me at one point" and other such asinine bullshit.
Guy Reffitt is the traitor, not his son. I hope he will be in prison for a very long time. There are many others (not the least of whom is Donald Trump himself) who deserve to be in there with him, too.
And the mother, Nicole, later trying to go to the Justice for J6 rally (real justice for Jan. 6, 2021 will come only if everyone involved in it ends up behind bars) but then getting stopped at the airport because she had a Three Percenters sticker on her backpack (which belonged to her husband) is poetic justice.
(Also, as of this post, I have a "jan 6 insurrection" tag now. As is usual when I go and back-tag posts with something like this, I probably missed a couple posts here and there that are relevant to it, but I think I got most of them.)
