Pat Robertson is dead and Trump has been federally indicted? I could say something banal like "It's like Christmas in June," except that I don't give much of a shit about Christmas even in the best of times, generally speaking, so instead I'll just say that these two pieces of news do not make me unhappy. Not unhappy at all. They don't necessarily make me happy, mind you, but definitely not even a little bit unhappy.
First learned of Pat Robertson's death via Wil Wheaton and of Trump's indictment via Seth Abramson, both when I happened to open my Feedly page, a few minutes prior to starting on this post.
Mr. Wheaton's story is dark as fuck. I like it. Quite a bit of "thorn-cocked Gulbuth The Rampant" energy, there. Honestly, I don't believe that hell is a thing that exists. I think that Pat Robertson has merely ceased to exist, except as inert matter and in the memories of living people, which, hopefully, will entirely fade away soon enough, as far as the world as a whole is concerned, at least. That said, I'm totally in favor of "fan" fiction and parody articles that place human shitstains like Pat Robertson in hell. I can't wait to read all the similar "fan" fiction that will be written once Donald Trump finally carks it. I might even write a bit of it myself when the time comes (hopefully sooner rather than later), who knows.
Speaking of Trump... meh... some of that Seth Abramson Twitter thread I linked to up there sounds kind of like equal parts hopeful/doom-saying/sensationalist "fan" fiction, too. Meh again. Part of me wants to say "This might be it... Trump might finally be about to go to prison... oh how I hope so..." but most of me just wants to say "Meh, Trump will slime his way out of this, too, the same way Trump has slimed his way out of all the other fucking consequences to his execrable actions." In any case, my breath is not a thing that I will be holding over this.
Also, assuming that Trump, despite everything, still somehow manages to win the GQP primary and runs in the general election in 2024, which still has an alarmingly high possibility of being a thing that happens, I will, of course, be voting against his stupid ass, same as I've voted against his stupid ass in every other election in which Trump has run and for which I have been eligible to vote. And if Trump somehow, someway, despite everything, against all the odds, manages to win the Presidency again in 2024... well... recall how I said that "America has officially shit the bed" after the last time Trump somehow managed to win? This would be ever so much worse.
Oh, and fuck Kevin McCarthy, Ron Desantis, Elon Musk, and all those other seething, deceitful dumbfucks right in their malign anuses with a necrotizing fasciitis-infested pine cone, too. One can even use the same pine cone for all of them. In fact, I would recommend it. It would probably turn out better that way.
