"With Starfield and Baldur's Gate 3 on the horizon, quality over quantity is what separates the RPG goods from the greats"
While I mostly agree with what was said there, generally speaking, I have to admit that it's a bit odd to me that of all the games named in that article, I've only ever played two of them myself, those being Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2, and of those two, the only one I have actually completed (for the most part) was Skyrim. (I never made it past chapter 2 in RDR2, despite Steam telling me that I apparently put 99.9 hours into it. I fully intend to reinstall it and give it another shot, though... someday. Possibly even someday soon... -ish.)
I'm at least vaguely interested in Starfield, and as long as it doesn't end up desecrated by Denuvo or something, I'll most likely be getting it eventually. Weirdly, I haven't been much interested in Baldur's Gate 3 at all, despite BG1 & BG2 being among my favorite games of all time. (They still don't top Planescape: Torment, but few games do, if any.)
Still haven't played The Witcher 3, even though I bought it on GOG years ago (same with TW2, as I still have yet to ever complete a playthrough of TW1, as I know I've already mentioned recently).
Similarly, I still haven't played Divinity: Original Sin 2, even though I bought it years ago on Steam, mainly because I barely made it to the first town in Divinity: Original Sin (1) before abandoning the playthrough. (I have played all the way through the original Divine Divinity, though. Played Beyond Divinity for a bit, but didn't get very far in that one. Haven't touched Divinity 2 at all [Director's Cut or otherwise].)
Still don't own the console on which the two newest (non-remake) Zelda games reside, though I'd play those games in a heartbeat if I did (and the remake game, too, for that matter).
Still next to zero interest in buying/playing Cyberpunk 2077 at all, ever, period.
And for the other two or three games mentioned in that article that I didn't say anything about here, for those you can just safely assume that I have even less interest in those than I do in Cyberpunk. Well... no, I suppose I did like the Mass Effect games at some point, back in ye olden days, and I'd played through both ME1 and ME2 several times, but I still haven't touched ME3 at all. I did, finally, buy it on Origin, at least, when it was on a <$10 sale at one point not too long ago, so I could play it (and the first two, again) now if I wanted to, and maybe I will someday, but I don't feel compelled to do so.
