The thing of it is that, yeah, while Trump said that shit like it was a "joke" or whatever, it was actually one of the rare few true statements that has ever escaped from his despicable face-anus, like a prisoner breaking out of Alcatraz. Possibly the truest ever. The only part of this that was a lie was his banal Lügenpresse quip afterward. The unvarnished truth of the matter is that he really doesn't care about them and really does just want their votes. He only wants their votes because he thinks that becoming President again will make all his legal troubles go away again for another four years, if not forever, depending on how much more bullshit Congress and the SCOTUS would actively help him to get away with if he does become President again. He doesn't give a flying fuck about the actual job of being President, except for how he can misuse and abuse it to personally enrich himself, just like how it was during the 2016-2020 years. Donald John Trump doesn't care about a single human being who isn't named Donald John Trump. Never has, never will. Not that his gullible, stupid, hopelessly conned lickspittles will ever realize that, of course.
