I found this to be a very fascinating video, in which Pat mostly dominated the discussion, and with whom I mostly agreed (though I admittedly am not remotely as familiar with all the stuff he talks about concerning multiplayer video games, so I don't actually know if he's just talking entirely out of his ass or not, as I know for a fact he sometimes overly confidently does on topics with which I am more familiar). It's just that the video also simply accomplished very little except to very strongly reinforce my stance to never, ever willingly play online competitive multiplayer games.
All the very specific stuff about stats and sports win/lose streaks and player mindsets at the top and bottom of the rankings and how easy or hard it may be to enter into or exit out of any given ranking in a given game or that one guy that hated the fact that Pat has a baby he needs to occasionally take care of, all of that shit was intriguing, and I don't regret watching it (at 2x speed). But it still just said to me that I, personally, should never try to play online versus multiplayer video games, which was a thing that I already knew very well about myself, of course. *nods sagely*
