Okay, ignoring the whole "OH SHIT EXOGENOUS FACTORS!" bit for a moment...

So... the full saying is: "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And weak men create hard times."

In that case, at this very moment, we are neck deep in the "hard times" that have been and are being and will continue to be created by "weak men" such as Donald Trump and Elon Musk and all the simpering cowards who support them.

Hopefully some "strong menpeople" will eventually arise to create some "good times" to make up for all this dogshit. I'm not confident that the current Democratic Party is capable of producing "strong (enough) people" any more, though.
