Toys R Us sucks

I ordered Super Mario Galaxy on November 8th, 2007 from Toys R Us online.

They finally claimed to have shipped it as of yesterday (which, considering yesterday was a Sunday, I found a bit odd, but whatever).

The UPS tracking thing says "Scheduled Delivery: 11/27/2007".

What the hell.

well, if it shipped sunday (which probably means it left on monday), 7 or 8 days is pretty standard for cheapest-rate ground. especially if they're using covered wagons. ;)

I just find it... (well, "funny" isn't the right word...) ...curious that I'm usually able to get things faster from Amazon.com using the "Super Saver Shipping" (free, but supposedly adds 5-9 days to expected shipping/delivery times), than I have gotten this from Toys R Us using normal shipping. I'm pretty sure they've factored in Thanksgiving (http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/service/support/operation.html) though, which kinda sucks. Ah well.

You really should be preordering things from EB Games/GameStop.com since you live in the Seattle area. They ship from Tukwila and I get stuff the next day (when I use 2 day shipping) in Portland. I've read several accounts of Toys'R'Us blowing it on the SMG release.

Yeah, this is the first time I've gotten anything from Toys R Us online, and will almost assuredly be the last time after this mess. The only reason I did it this time was because I was buying something non-video game related, and figured while I was at it I'd just stick SMG on there as well. I've got the other thing I ordered, less than a week after I ordered it. But SMG, which was ordered at the same time, has only just shipped, which is retarded.

Meanwhile, I could have picked it up on the way to work since it's in stores and all that. ^^ A shame I don't have a Wii. But then I can't say Sunshine or the N64 game really held my interest for too long. I should really try to get back to Sunshine at the very least. :/

Yeah, I kinda wish now that I'd just walked the half a mile or so to EB and picked it up there, but then I wasn't expecting Toys R Us to suck so much.
