Or, worst, actively assist with it. If Trump didn't have so many people surrounding him and propping him up, he would have been in prison decades ago. (Especially now, with the dementia and all.)
Trump has (allegedly) had ties to the Mafia for a very long time, even before he ran for President. This is the same thing, except on a global scale. To be "fair" to Trump, he's not the only President who's been accused of having Mafia connections (some more believable than others).
