Disco Elysium and Planescape Torment? I mean, I already had that game on my Steam wishlist. Maybe I'll even be slightly more lenient with my usual policy in this case, possibly. I'll still give it a bit of a wait-and-see, though, regardless.
The only Disco/Elysium-like[1] that I've played so far (aside from Disco Elysium itself, of course) has been Sovereign Syndicate, which I started playing back in January (Steam says I played it for only not quite 3 hours so far), but put aside for a time for reasons. Not because I didn't like it or it was a bad game, but simply because I wanted to restart it at some point, with that point not being "immediately."
[1] - I do not give a shit about which it is. Still, even though I tend to dislike "<insert partial name of game here>-like" descriptors, in this particular case, it does a fairly good job of telling you in just a couple words what to expect. That being 1) isometric viewpoint, 2) RPG, 3) your stats talk to you (or, at least, interject into the narration), 4) text bar on the right side, 5) a gargantuan amount of text (whether it's accompanied by voice acting or not). Or, at least, that's what it means now, prior to its inevitable dilution into complete uselessness, similar to terms like "rogue-like" and "souls-like" have been, anyway. Or... maybe it'll remain viable, semi-useful term, the way "Metroidvania" (mostly) has.
