"Is It Time?" and "Home"
Aug. 30th, 2011 07:05 pmJust found these two* games (if you can really call them "games") thanks to Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Probably couldn't have found them at a better/worse time. (I haven't quite decided yet if finding out about them was a good or bad thing.) I think these might just be the most depressing little "games" I have ever played, up there with Passage and The Graveyard (both of which are also mentioned in that RPS article). Having "completed" them both at least once (for "Is It Time?" I just kept picking "No" until the game ultimately decided "Yes" for me, even after successfully struggling against the husband who was on an earlier day trying to pull it to "Yes" anyway), I probably won't play them ever again. While I agree with the RPS sentiment of not actively recommending them, I do want to at least share them, for what that's worth. It's your choice as to whether you play them or not. They're not necessarily bad, but they're certainly not happy or fun.
My opinion of these are colored in no small part by the events of the past couple of weeks.
* - Beware, flash game with incredibly annoying auto-playing, unskippable advertisement beforehand.
