Memorial leaflet for my dad.

This is what was given out at the memorial and funeral service for my father. It was made by my sister. Just thought I'd scan it in and upload it. Mine was a bit crumpled after making it here from NC in my luggage on the airplane, but is still readable.

"If you are an existing member of the community (e.g. you took the original initiation test or even left your e-mail in the newsletter sign-up) you have been automatically registered as
a beta candidate. As such it is not necessary for you to re-register through the first phase of The Secret War experience if you only want to be considered for beta.

However, even if you are already signed up, we still strongly encourage you to re-register through the first phase of The Secret War experience. Doing so will allow you to participate
in phase two, where you will get to expand the influence of your secret society through a web-based community game where you can unlock achievements, in-game rewards usable at launch,
and even guaranteed beta access."


I took the new test, just for the heck of it. I was expecting to get Dragon again, just as I did pretty much every time I took the old test (which no longer seems to be available, as far as I can tell), but not so. First time, I got Templars. I retook it again, changed a few answers, and then got Illuminati. After a third try, I finally got Dragon again. The questions in the test seem rather more abstracted (and therefore, in my opinion, less meaningful) this time around. Just based on the descriptions of the factions, however, I still like Dragon the best of the three anyway, so that's the one I ultimately went with. At any rate, you can bypass the test and just pick whichever you want.

Not sure I like the requirement of Facebook Connect to sign up, though. Guess that means that "phase two" or whatever will be some crappy FB app or some such. *sigh* Ah well, we'll see how awful it is when the time comes, I guess. (EDIT) And as it turns out, it was somehow even more awful. (/EDIT)
