The thing that depresses me the most about this story isn't that an item got removed from Counterstrike and the "creators" banned for copyright reasons, because fuck those guys. No, the thing that depresses me the most about this is that people are actually willing to pay $250-$400 or whatever in real life money for goddamn weapon skins in the first place. I mean, yeah, sure, spend your money however you want and all that jazz, but I personally just think that it is an incredibly asinine way to waste money.
Mainly, I hate it because it's idiots like that who buy things like that for exorbitant prices like that who let the video game industry as a whole know that this sort of thing is okay and even encouraged, rather than reviled and in need of immediate death, and so that's why we're swamped with shitty, pointless, stripped out DLC in pretty much every game nowadays. It sucks and I hate it and I will never stop hating it.
