If that's true, then welp, the U.S. is pretty much fucked for the next however long.[1] President Obama might as well simply quit his job and go on home now, because if he wasn't able to get much of anything done before (and he wasn't, thanks to the obstructionist Republicans/Tea Party assholes that were already up there), then he sure as shit won't be able to get anything done now. Well, I suppose he can still veto any of the more dumbass laws that the Republicans will likely try to pass in the next couple of years, at least, so there is that, I guess.
So, does this mean that the majority of Americans who voted these assclowns into power really are that stupid, or just that the Republicans made better use of all that campaign money? This is probably one of those column A/column B things.
If absolutely nothing else, I'm just glad that all the attack ads and other negative campaign shit on the TV and radio will take a break for a little while (at least until it starts gearing up again in a few months for the 2016 bullshit anyway).
[1] - Not that I think things will suddenly become drastically different now to what they were before, mind you. It'll just be more of the same old shit as it always is, only with a slightly more repugnant Republican flavor than before, that's all. *shrug* (EDIT October 8, 2018) *looks at Donald Trump being POTUS* *looks at Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court* Holy fucking shit. I could not possibly have been more wrong with that prediction. O_O The Republicans managed to fuck us over beyond even my wildest, most horrific of 2014 potential nightmare scenarios. (/EDIT October 8, 2018)
