Yes, indeed. There's nothing wrong with caring about one issue more strongly than a different issue that someone else may feel is more important to them. It's when you start trying to tell those other people that they shouldn't care so much about the thing they care about, that they should care more about your thing instead, that's when it veers headlong into "wrong" territory.
Of course, the real problem comes in when the thing the other person is caring about so much is a thing that is actively heinous. Like, say, a racist who is making a huge stink against equality laws. Or a homophobe ranting and railing against same sex marriage laws. Or the literal attempted murderers who "protest" against COVID mask policies by coughing in someone's face. It's one thing to be at odds with someone who would otherwise be on your side, to a greater or lesser degree, but it's another thing entirely when what you're up against is the diametrically polar opposite of everything you stand for. At that point, simply "live and let live" is no longer a valid option, or at least shouldn't be. I'll just leave it there.
