Apparently you can give your avatar crazy hair colors. Although this seems to be incredibly old in Internet time, I didn't find out about it myself until today. I'll have to play around with it when I get home, because my dude could definitely use some blue hair. You gotta have blue hair. (This is assuming that it works on facial hair as well and not just normal hair, because if that's the case I will be annoyed.)
(EDIT)
And, annoyingly, it looks like it's only for the hair, and not anything else. At least, the hair tile is the only one that spins after sitting there for the 60 seconds or whatever. I don't know, others may spin if you sit there some more. I didn't bother waiting to see, because it's not really worth it. *sigh*
You know, if they're going to offer differing colors, don't make it some retarded easter egg like that. And if they're going to offer them for one part, offer them for everything. Either do it right, or not at all.
(/EDIT)
I have just one complaint about the avatars, though. If you want to spend the money, you can get things like lightsabers or chickens with pulleys or enchanted brooms or whatever. Yet for all of that, I haven't found anything as relatively simple as a freaking cape. If I could just give my guy a purple cape (...and maybe a Grim Reaper-style scythe), I would be most content. I might even be willing to shell out a dollar or three for that, even.
In fact, this is my complaint with most games that have create-a-character modes in them. Very few of them allow you to put a cape on your character. I can see the technical reasons against doing so for some of these games, but it's still annoying. If I recall correctly, the only one that I've played that actually allows you to give your guy a cape is Mortal Kombat Armageddon.
