I have a migraine now. It set in around 3:00 last night. I only just got out of bed a few minutes ago, despite not sleeping all that much in that time period. I won't be going to work today. It sucks asscrack.

I had some pretty crappy dreams last night, a few of which I can remember.

Dream #1: The thing in the elevator shaft.

This is one of the few (non-false awakening) dreams that I've had that has left me with the impression that it was an actual "nightmare" so to speak.

It happened in an old, dilapidated underground parking garage. Cars were few and far between, but there was one next to an old elevator. The driver door on the car was open and the headlights were on. Nobody else was in sight. For some reason, I decided that it would be courteous of me to go turn the headlights off to prevent the car's battery from running down. Not sure why, since it wasn't my car, and it was obvious that it had been sitting there for years. Even though, realistically, the battery should have already run down long before then. It was a dream, it didn't have to make sense.

As I approached the car, I heard something coming from the elevator. Abandoning the car and my quest to turn off the headlights, I went over to the elevator, which wasn't actually an elevator at all but just an open elevator shaft. I looked down it, but didn't see anything because it was pitch black inside. However, as I was about to turn away, I heard a really low-pitched, obviously demonic evil voice say "Come!" That was some freakish shit, so my first instinct (which I followed) was to find a giant slab of loose asphalt and drop it down the shaft. The voice then said, "Join!"

Being suitably freaked out, I pulled out a flashbang (where I got one, I have no idea) and dropped it down the shaft. It exploded, but nothing happened, except that I could still hear the thing mumbling in an indecipherable manner. I then dropped an actual frag grenade down the shaft. It also exploded, with similar ineffectual results.

Now I decided to get serious. I pulled out three of what in the dream were apparently called "arcane grenades" and dropped them down the shaft. This caused a reaction. The light from the explosions didn't fade immediately, for one thing, so that I could see down the shaft. At the bottom of the shaft was a creature that looked like a Clannfear from Oblivion. It started climbing the shaft toward me.

So, naturally, I pulled out a lightsaber in my left hand (even though I'm right handed). Yeah, really. It was an orange one. Not yellow like a sentinel saber (for reference, see KotOR) or red like a Sith saber. Orange. Not sure if that means anything. Anyway, the light from the "arcane grenades" had disappeared, so the lightsaber was now the only source of light (as the car was facing away from the elevator shaft). I was swinging it around crazily trying to keep this thing from getting higher, and it was dodging, and I knew it wasn't going to be enough. So, lastly, I pulled out in my right hand one of the guns from Ghostbusters, the thing that's attached to the proton packs, though I didn't have the proton pack itself. Just as I opened fire with that (and it apparently still worked just fine even without the proton pack) was when I finally woke up.

Now the above might seem ridiculous to the reader (and it certainly seemed ridiculous to me as I was writing it as well), but during the actual dream it was some Silent Hill-level freaky and scary.

Dream #2: One of the blasted false awakening dreams.

This one was fairly short, even for one of the oh-so-hated cycling dreams.

I was in bed (in WA), with my back to the door. My mom was standing in the door and telling me that I had a letter. I knew this was a dream, because my mom is in NC and not WA, but she kept insisting that I had this important letter. I told her to just lay it on the bed, because I knew if I turned around to look, I would just wake up. So she did. I started groping behind me to get the letter without looking, and when I grabbed it was when I woke up.

So after waking up, I turned around and the letter was there! And so was my mom! It hadn't been a dream after all! I picked up the letter and started walking toward my mom.

And then I woke up again.

My mom wasn't there this time. But the letter was there! Since I knew for sure I was awake this time, I picked up the letter and started to open it.

And then I woke up again, for real this time, and feeling extremely drained and a bit pissed off. No letter of course, and my mom obviously wasn't there either. I never found out what was in the letter, in any of the cycles.

Dream #3: The horizontal spider-web above my bed.

This one was extremely short. To put it simply, I "woke up" and saw that there was a large, room-spanning spider-web above my bed. It essentially covered the entire room horizontally, and was about a foot or two above the level of my bed. Two incredibly tiny (and thus non-scary) spiders were there. Looked like they were kind of fighting over some fly or something that had been caught in the web. And that was pretty much it. Aside from the web itself being there to begin with, nothing interesting happened.

I don't remember ever having dreams during migraine half-sleep like this before, but if this is what they're like, then I can definitely do without.

You know, lately it seems my dreams have been primarily of the action/adventure style. (What little I remember of them after waking up anyway.)

For instance last night there were equal parts Claymore and Minecraft.

Likely because I've been watching minecraft let's plays again since I noticed MCGamer has a let's play series up and going, and I've been re-reading most of my Claymore manga since Sunday while resting on the couch. >_>

Let's just say if you think spider-proofing your house in minecraft is difficult. Try awakened-being-proofing it. It's pretty pointless. *nod self*

Wow, those're some dreams. That clannfear looks like an anthro protoceratops to me, so my first reaction was "aww! look at its widdle claws!"

If memory serves, Plo Koon had an orange light saber in "Jedi Power Battles."

I need something like this:

(Note, if you're not familiar with that comic, it's the one where Superman fights two Hitlers. Reviewed by Linkara here (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/linkara/at4w/3252-superman-at-earths-end).)
