Not only was Limewire being sued for an absurd amount of money, they're also apparently trying to go after CNET now, because CNET made Limewire available on its download.com website.
I suppose next they'll be going after Microsoft, Mozilla, Google and others that make web browsers, since those browsers allowed access to the site. Of course, then they'll have to go after Microsoft (again), and Linux, and Apple, because they provide operating systems on which those browsers can be run. Then they'll have to go after all the various computer manufacturers for making computers on which the OSs can run. Oh, and they should also try to sue all of the ISPs, since the Internet was used to download Limewire. For that matter, maybe they should also try suing DARPA and the various universities (and Al Gore) who first created the Internet in the first place. Maybe they could even try to posthumously sue Charles Babbage? I'm sure there are plenty of others I'm leaving out who have had something to do with people being able to use Limewire.
