"Ubisoft 'extremely limited' by Xbox 360/PS3"

"OnLive CEO says PS3 and 360 are too weak and old" (What OnLive has to do with consoles, I don't know. Also, this is unrelated, but I kind of hope the whole concept of OnLive and anything like it crashes and burns, but that's just me.)

Which, of course, inevitably leads to this.

(As an aside, I've found that I can actually stomach Destructoid in small doses these days, for the most part, if I just stick to my resolve to never, ever scroll down to the comments. Even Jim Sterling has become seemingly more tolerable than he was, at least when he's not explicitly pandering to the comment section anyway.)

Their goal is to be the next generation and completely digital. You won't even be getting a download to save on your "console" as all that will stay on their server, they'll just send you the audio/visual as needed.

I seriously don't see how any kind of online streaming company really expects to succeed in this age where one's bandwidth is getting more and more restricted and more and more expensive.

I'm sure you can guess, but I'll be having none of it.

Yeah, I'm not touching it with a barge pole either.

*puts on tinfoil hat for a bit*

It almost makes me wonder if the whole thing isn't just a kind of distraction to make less extreme methods of digital distribution seem more "normal" by comparison. "Hell, we actually let you keep the games you download. We're not completely retarded like OnLive is, after all."
