On the one hand, it always sucks when people lose their jobs. On the other hand, this frees these people up to perhaps get jobs at places that aren't shit, so there is that at least. I'm not going to feel schadenfreude over this, though, because the people losing their jobs here almost assuredly aren't any of the ones making all the shit decisions in the first place. And yet, even so, I can't help but feel a tinge of hope that this might just be among the first inklings that EA is about to go out the same way THQ did. EA completely shutting down forever would be one of the best things to happen to the video game industry as a whole in a very long time. I don't see it actually happening any time soon, but again, I can always hope, at least.
