Treasure Adventure Game

I just finished playing through Treasure Adventure Game, which is available for free from GOG.com. It's a pretty cool game, and a lot longer than I was expecting it to be. It's basically a sort of Metroid/Castlevania-ish game with maybe a dash of Wind Waker thrown in for good measure. Some of the platforming bits are super hard (part of the reason for which is that the player character slides a bit on landing from jumps, which I have never not hated in platforming games). But it's not completely unplayable, just hard enough that it pissed me off enough that I'd have to take a break from it for a day or two, before coming back to it. But I did come back to it, and that says a lot given that with most games that frustrate me these days, I just say screw it and never come back to it.

Also, it looks like the creators of this game are planning to remake the game with updated graphics and some new features and such.
