At this point I'm pretty sure that Lewis is just going to be pissed at all of us, and that everything will be a horrible horrible failure. Well, good luck on the game midterm.
What I find amusing, in a sick, sad way, is that as cool as Lewis and Haas are, they haven't really taught much of anything in the way of actual network coding and the like. It has all been concepts and such so far. All that we have to go on in the way of code is what Hu taught us, and given that Hu was bad enough that he had to be replaced by Lewis and Haas anyway... Well, it's a vicious, vicious cycle. Granted that Hu's notes (and by that I mean Ukrainetz's notes) are not completely useless, but still... And that the Digipen network is apparently not CS260 friendly is also pretty annoying. Oh, and I probably could have started on it before Saturday (instead of, say, working on Ghali and Mead... yeah right), but of course that doesn't bear mentioning.
I read in the syllabus for CS260 that they'll accept the assignment up to a week late, at a 25% grade penalty, so I think that since there's no way in hell that I'm going to have something that even remotely works in time for class today, I'm just going to set the whole thing aside until the weekend and work on all of the other crap that is due this week. It's not like my SVN is actually working at the moment so that I could get my project and do anything with it now even if I wanted to...
Anyway, CS250, CS280, PHY250, MAT250 (thank you, Jahn, for adding a nine-part J.1 problem to that homework, by the way, since we clearly didn't have nearly enough to do before that)... oh, yeah, and the BETA all have priority over CS260 for the moment. At least the GAM midterm was mostly fluff. Not saying I did well on it, but it's only 5% of the final grade anyway, so even if I missed a few... whatever.
