Hmm... it looks like I should probably start checking my actual friends page on LJ more often, rather than simply relying on Feedly. Feedly, for instance, doesn't display f-locked posts (which, you know, makes sense, but... durrrr). As such, I've missed a few posts, apparently from as far back as September, at least... Oops. >_>;

How many friends do you still actively have on LJ?

My "mutual friends" list currently has 11 on it, though how many of those would count as actually being "active" is... probably less than that. I also have about three times that many on my "friend of" list, mostly people I went to school with who joined LJ back when it was still something of a fad to do so and who haven't updated their journals in almost a decade, or random (Russian) LJ accounts that I don't even know who they are to begin with. (But then, given that those are no longer on my own friends list, or never were in the first place, they wouldn't be showing up on my friend page anyway, so I guess they're pretty much irrelevant as far as this particular issue is concerned.)

In any case, the takeaway for me is that I need to start checking my actual friend page on LJ itself more than, like, once a month or whatever, especially since it seems that LJ culls all but the most recent two weeks or so of posts from there anyway. With Feedly (and Google Reader before that, at least before GR got shut down), at least, I get notifications whenever anyone makes a new post, which is why I'd started neglecting the rest of it. Except that f-locked posts don't even make it to Feedly at all. So unless I just happened to look at my friend page in the two-week window during which a f-locked post would be be visible there, I'd never see them, unless I went back and looked at the journals themselves (which is how I noticed that I'd missed at least one f-locked post from back in September). Fortunately, since I have such a relatively small number in my mutual friends list, that's not difficult to do.
